Water stops

Spaces are left during concrete casting to avoid possible deformation. While casting concrete on part by part basis, vertical gaps left are construction gaps, and gaps left regarding base movements are called contraction joints. Therefore, in order to avoid any possible deformation and prevent water leakages in these areas, water stops are used.

As the material is elastic it has earthquakeproof properties.

Water stops can be used in,

  • tunnels, metro,
  • building foundations,
  • pools,
  • dykes,
  • water reservoirs,
  • channels,
  • bridges,
  • irrigation channels,
  • hydraulic stations,
  • sewer systems

and other places for the purpose of isolation.
